Summer Reading

“Tails and Tales” : June 1 – July 24!

June 1 thru July 24, 2021!

Readers who had just completed 5th grade & younger could sign up. We offered our normal paper sheets to log books that are read, or use the online Beanstack app. Small prizes were awarded with each completed sheet. A GRAND PRIZE drawing was held at the end of the program, for those who have completed all 5 sheets.

June 24, 2021 – Marty Hahn’s Magic Show at the Buffalo United Methodist Church Family Center, at the corner of Pine & Benton Streets, 2 blocks north of the library.

Weather permitting, Story Time was held outside, behind the Friends of the Library building.

Crafts in a Bag were available to take & enjoy at home.

For in-person programs we asked that you call and reserve a space and time.

How it works:

  1. Visit Beanstack or download the Beanstack Tracker app
  2. Register for a family or individual account and add readers
  3. Your card number is required. Use the letter “P” in front of your number, and if needed, Add zeroes in front to make a total of 6 digits. Example: P00001.
  4. Log reading and activities
  5. Earn badges and prizes along the way!

FAMILY STORY TIME: Call us to schedule a special time to visit the library, and our staff will be happy to read just to YOUR family! 417-345-2647.

The library’s summer reading program was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
